Hi all, my name is Warren Herrera, creator of The Tender Fork. I started this website not really knowing what to expect and I wanted to take my first opportunity to thank you for visiting. Whether it be from word of mouth, pure curiosity, or from encouragement to visit the page, websites like this don't survive without people, like yourselves, visiting them. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
There's a bunch of history that started this journey and I hope you all follow me along or, at least, get inspired to go out there and find some good eats. There are many things in life that aren't guaranteed; however, whether or not something tastes good to you or me CAN be guaranteed. While we all have different tastes and what we find palatable may not be pleasing to others, the opinion on something we eat, positive or negative, can always be certain...all I'm simply trying to do is share my opinions and thoughts on that quest to find those perfect bites. "I heard about that place, is it any good?", we've all asked the question before when talking to friends or trying to figure out places to eat, and I hope to answer that question for you!
First and foremost, I don't have any fancy credentials or experience that certifies me to be a foodie or connoisseur, nor do I have a college degree in Culinary Arts or Restaurant Management. In fact, my degree resides in a field completely outside the genre of cuisine and lies in Information Systems/Technology; however, truth of the matter is, while I consider myself a geek of all things digital and technological, one thing's for certain...I love to eat and I love to write. Being able to enjoy something as fulfilling as eating is one thing, but being able to share it with everyone is both a privilege and an honor. The purpose of The Tender Fork is to highlight and provide you guys with insight on some of the latest, greatest, and upcoming places out there, but haven't had a chance to check out and experience yourselves quite yet. It's my hope that The Tender Fork will be an additional, if not main, source to find out about some of the trendiest places around and will hopefully provide some direction as to whether or not it's worth your time and effort. I'm not quite sure what this website has in store for me in the future, but one thing's for sure, I want to share as many experiences as I can with you all!
